Diva Just wanted to send an update on "Diva", now Daisy that we adopted from you in September. She is doing great and loves her big brother Buckeye, our 2 year old chocolate lab. Thanks so much for all you do!
Delilah Just wanted to share the good news…Delilah has gone to her forever home (last night). They adore her. She will be living on an 11 acre parcel in upstate NY connected to a kids camp that she will “work” all summer long. They love her! (but how could you not!)
Daisy Hi Kathy! Just wanted to check in and let you know that we are all so happy!! We changed Daisy's name to Kinze, (Pronounced like Kinzie) but she seems to be adjusting just fine. Ben and I are so in love with her- she is such a good girl. She fits with us so perfectly and is just the right mix of active and mellow. We take her everywhere with us! This weekend was a busy one but she got along with everyone she met except for one cat. And you're right- she's great with kids! We had to leave her home alone a couple of times but she does just fine. We never crate her and just let her roam in the house. We are still working on a few basic commands but she really is remarkably adaptable. Cant believe we've only had her a little over a week! The vet came and looked at her the other day, gave her a clean bill of health and thinks shes in great shape. We feel so lucky and are so grateful to have her. Can't thank you enough for placing this wonderful dog into our lives!! Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving! Love, Lara
Dimi We lost our 9 year old straffordshire bull terrier, Muffin on 9/28 (She had a pace maker, however we gave her and us 5 extra special years) Our daughter found AnimalHouse Shelter web site and told us to look. The "dog of the month" Dimi had the eyes of our Sheppard we lost a year ago, the look of Muffin who we just lost and the markings of our first dog 43 years ago. On Oct 9th we traveled the 55 miles to the shelter and were greeted by super people and we wanted to see Dimi. They brought her to us and we were told that she was almost adopted a week earlier, but it didn't go through. Dimi gave me a kiss and proceeded to jump on my husbands lap... That was it.. .she was ours. The shelter is one of the best we have seen over the years... All our past dogs were from shelters Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
