Dimi We lost our 9 year old straffordshire bull terrier, Muffin on 9/28 (She had a pace maker, however we gave her and us 5 extra special years) Our daughter found AnimalHouse Shelter web site and told us to look. The "dog of the month" Dimi had the eyes of our Sheppard we lost a year ago, the look of Muffin who we just lost and the markings of our first dog 43 years ago. On Oct 9th we traveled the 55 miles to the shelter and were greeted by super people and we wanted to see Dimi. They brought her to us and we were told that she was almost adopted a week earlier, but it didn't go through. Dimi gave me a kiss and proceeded to jump on my husbands lap... That was it.. .she was ours. The shelter is one of the best we have seen over the years... All our past dogs were from shelters
Chin Chin Chin Chin is now named Colt. Coral, his hew owner is a big time Colt's fan. She showed me pictures of him in his new digs. I swear he is smiling. She said he was an angel at the vet. He has yeast in his ears and a bacterial infection in one and he lets her doctor is with no problems. She went home at lunch to check on him. She bought him two big dog beds, but I predict he will be sleeping in the queen size bed pretty soon if that is what he wants to do.
Alberta My son made this bed for her on the couch before leaving for school this morning. She seems to like the comfort of furniture rather than a dog pillow or the carpeting. She goes into her crate and sleeps through the night. Zoe LOVES to cuddle next to the kids at night when they are watching tv. She has made friends with Sasha and now realizes she is not the alpha dog. All is good! :) I started her on k9 ad. for fleas. She is eating raw and went for her first 4 mile walk last night. She does not bark when people enter the house, which is great! She knows which door to stand by if she needs to go potty. All in all, she is really laid back and prefers to sleep on the couch all day. She must have had people food because she sits patiently waiting for scraps as we eat dinner at the table. Thanks for another great dog, Mary
Tatyana Through the help of the Terre Haute Air Center, Tatyana left today for a rescue in Iowa. After a little over a 2 hour flight Tatyana is now in a wonderful foster home. I have heard from the foster mother and they said she did great on the flight and will have more updates in a few days. Susan the new foster mom is already in love with her and we know she is with another great family. Many thanks to the Woods family here in Terre Haute for fostering her prior to her leaving. I know Tatyana was glad to get out of the shelter and into a real loving home. Thanks to all, Toni P.S. Tatyana's new name is Candy (started here in Terre Haute) and she is loving it.
