Meet Oliver. What a great little boy. Are you looking for a loving, happy kitten? Well, this one meets all your needs. He showed up at my door on the first really cold night of fall. It was only in the 30’s that night, and when I opened my kitchen door, there he was, dirty, thin, hungry, and so cold his whole body was shivering, poor baby. He came to me immediately, and I could tell he was a lost or abandoned kitty, because he had no fear of me at all. So in he came. I set out a can of kitten food, and went and got a large crate ready for him. He needed to be isolated from all my other cats and kittens for at least 2 weeks. The next day, I took him to the shelter where he got his first shots, was tested for fiv/felv ,(negative), and was scheduled to have his little trouble puffs removed. He was also scanned for a chip and none was found. That day, I put his photo on Facebook’s Lost and Found Pet in Terre Haute, but no one claimed him. A few days later, I discovered he was positive with giardia; Bad, Bad, VERY Bad. Now he had to be isolated for a REALLY long time, and medicated twice a day. So that’s what I did. Every day for almost 2 months I’d give him his medication and cuddles, and play with him, and he was very good about it all. His favorite thing was the cuddles. He never tried to get out of my arms, he’d just lie there and let me rub his tummy and chin. When he finally tested negative for Giardia, it was a wonderful day! He was finally able to get out of his prison and play with my kitties. He was accepted into my clan immediately, and has been participating in the Kitten/Cat games.
So, this is what you will get when you take Oliver home with you. You will get a young kitty, about 9 or 10 months old. He will adapt to any home within a day or two, and will love any kitty or even any dog who lives there. He will love to lay in your arms for as long as you let him, and he’ll sleep next to you. He’s not very verbal, but will let you know when he’s hungry. He’s a good eater, too. He learns where the litter box is, and will use it with no problems. He also uses a scratching post. He loves his toys and will chase small balls or plastic springs all over the house. Oliver is a beautiful, loving kitty, and I don’t think you can find a better kitty to take home and love, because he will love you right back!
