First, we call him Minx ('cause he looks a bit like a Lynx). He was discovered Dec 13th at 2 a.m. when someone who lives and works in Indy was dropping off a delivery at Kroger South. The guys were there unloading until 3 a.m. and the whole while they heard a kitten screaming from behind the freezer but the kitten wouldn't come to them. The driver told his wife who called our shelter Sunday morning. One of our diehard cat volunteers (I don't believe she has ever met a cat she wouldn't help) tried catching him Sunday evening... several times but no luck. She tried again Monday evening after work and on Wednesday she took a live trap. Long story short, she caught him and now he's in a foster home where he plays nicely with the adult cat, doesn't "get" what a dog is about, and is warming up to his foster mom. He'll be at the shelter soon when space becomes available but if you'd like to meet him right away, please contact the shelter and we will schedule a meet-and-greet. He's Minx and he needs a forever home.
